Dr. Filip Stillaert is a consultant plastic surgeon at the University Hospital of Ghent. Originally from Ypres, he studied medicine at the University of Leuven and initially trained in general and cardiovascular surgery. He later completed a prestigious microsurgery and tissue engineering fellowship in Melbourne, Australia, which sparked his interest in fat grafting. Upon returning to Belgium, he specialized in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery at the University of Ghent. His clinical and research work focuses on autologous surgical techniques and adipose tissue engineering.
