About

Prof. Dr. Phillip Blondeel is a world-renowned plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery. A pioneer in perforator flap surgery, he is Chair of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at University Hospital Ghent and practices in Switzerland as well. He earned his MD in Leuven and PhD in Ghent, and holds numerous international certifications and society memberships. Prof. Blondeel has authored key scientific works, led Belgium’s first face transplant, and served as President of the European Association of Plastic Surgeons.

Creator, co-founder and director of the Board of the “Beautiful After Breast Cancer Foundation”. This public non-profit foundation aims to increase awareness and to fund research projects in the field of reconstructive breast surgery.
