Dr. M.A.J. Doornaert, MD PhD FCCP is a certified plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgeon and PhD in Health Sciences. He earned his medical degree with distinction from Ghent University and completed advanced training in general and plastic surgery under renowned experts at UZ Gent. He further specialized in autologous fat grafting and stem cell applications, which became the focus of his doctoral research. Dr. Doornaert currently leads the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Elisabeth Hospital in Zottegem and maintains private practices in Ghent and Antwerp. He remains actively involved in research at Ghent University.
