Prof. Dr. Benoît Lengelé is Head of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc and Professor at UCLouvain. A pioneer in reconstructive microsurgery and regenerative transplantation, he co-performed the world’s first face transplant in 2005. His clinical focus includes complex cancer reconstruction and composite tissue grafts. Prof. Lengelé has authored over 115 scientific publications and is a member of several leading surgical academies in Belgium and abroad.
