Prof. Dr. Jan Jeroen Vranckx is an internationally recognized leader in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, with over two decades at KU Leuven University Hospitals, where he served as Head of the Department and Professor of Surgery. Trained in Leuven, Taipei, Porto, and Boston, he combines deep academic expertise with extensive clinical experience. A multiple award-winning surgeon, including the Hans Anderl Award and the prestigious Marco Godina Award, he has published more than 100 scientific papers and lectured at over 50 institutions worldwide. Since 2025, his focus has been on clinical practice at AZ Diest and AZ Zeno in Knokke-Heist, where he offers tailored treatment plans with an emphasis on natural results. As Secretary-General of EURAPS, he remains active in advancing the field through leadership, research in tissue engineering, and innovations such as augmented reality and CAD-CAM applications in surgery.
