Dr. Colpaert is een erkend plastisch chirurg met uitgebreide opleiding in zowel reconstructieve als esthetische chirurgie. Hij behaalde zijn artsendiploma en chirurgische opleiding aan KU Leuven, gevolgd door internationale gespecialiseerde vervolgopleiding(en) in het VK en Londen, met een focus op borst- en gezichtschirurgie. Sinds 2011 is hij hoofd van de afdeling plastische chirurgie van AZ Monica hospitals, waar hij ook het borstreconstructieteam leidt. Dr. Colpaert neemt regelmatig deel aan internationale congressen en draagt bij aan wetenschappelijke publicaties op dit vakgebied.
